About Brad Carr and the Studio
Hi! I’m Brad, and I created Severn Valley Creative Studios in 2024 after identifying a gap in the market for high quality photography and storytelling around my local area of Welshpool in Mid Wales.
Having spoken to numerous local businesses and hearing that they often outsource much of their creative photography to companies outside of the area, I knew that I had the perfect opportunity to contribute my gifts and skills to help my hometown and surrounding area thrive.
I am an artist, first and foremost, and many of my photographs of Nature have featured in national magazines alongside my writings on multiple occasions. I apply the same artistry and creative vision from my landscape and nature photography to my commercial and portrait work, and I strive to provide my clients with unique photographs that help to tell their personal stories through the lens of my camera.

My landscape and nature photography has featured in national magazines on multiple occasions alongside my writing. I am proud to be able to say that I was the photographer that the magazine chose to cover my beloved Snowdonia National Park, and my home of Mid Wales. Here is a photograph of me with my hat-trick of Outdoor Photography Magazine features.
Photography has been my passion for six years and I am only truly happy when I am behind the camera creating photographs to share with the world. If I am not creating photographs of Nature, or photographs for clients, then I can sometimes be found experimenting with some self portraiture as a means of expression. They aren’t just photographs to me, they are stories of my existence.
Over the past few years, I have photographed many things, from the trees that I have grown to love so much, to mountains, to chickens, to food, to wallpaper production all the way to people on the most special day of their lives. My skills as a photographer are not limited, and I truly embrace any project that stretches my mind and creativity.
